Received the annual report for the Empire Kerry Blue Terrier Club and realized we owed you a two-year update on your pup – Bonnie Blu’s Cassie Cara.
" Cassie continued to mature in the last year building on a foundation
of beginning and advanced clicker training at Gail Fisher’s All Dogs Gym
(http://www.alldogsgym.com <http://www.alldogsgym.com/> ) by completing
basic agility training
We have considered working with her as a Therapy Dog but think her acutely
sensitive hearing (and the volume/tone of her bark when she is startled)
of might be a limiting factor in a hospital/nursing home environment with
all the machines/monitors – we’ll see
"
"She’s also a big girl – her vet suggested we reduce her Eukanuba intake at her annual visit (when she was up to 42-pounds) – and she’s holding now at 40 on a cup-a-day (+ the odd bite of carrot from the salad). She’s all strength and speed! "
We’ve learned, by far, Cassie’s favorite season is winter
While she enjoys running through the leaves in the fall, she absolutely
loves rooting around in the snow and having fresh powder to plow through.
Bev’s taken her snowshoeing but has a hard time keeping up with her!
I suppose the highest praise for your breeding is when Bev looked up from
Cassie one night and said she never expected to have another dog as devoted
and loving as Friar, her beloved Cocker Spaniel of twelve-years, but Cassie
has changed her mind

P.S.
We see from your web site you’re knee deep in puppies this spring – enjoy!
